Good Lookin Cookin

Food or Drink

Healthy school meal providers based in Lincoln, providing meals for over thirty schools throughout the county.

About Good Lookin Cookin

Our company was originally set up ten years ago by Carol Johnson who combined her business knowledge and catering expertise to create Good Lookin Cookin.

Carol's original plan was to provide two schools with nutritious healthy meals from their small unit with a café in the front. The café never opened as the school meal business went from strength to strength to the point that 10 years ago, Carol bought a purpose built premise from which we now provide meals for over thirty schools throughout the county.

Children eating healthier at school is high on the political agenda and school meals form an integral part in achieving a healthier lifestyle.

As of September, all Reception, year one and year two children now receive a free meal. There are many reasons why you should choose a school lunch for your child. Research has shown that a healthy nutritious school meal can provide your child with the energy required to concentrate in class and let off steam at break times

Our school meals also represent value for money; children can enjoy a two course meal for only £2.30 per day.

We work very closely with local suppliers and use as much Lincolnshire produce as possible.

All our meat is farm assured and locally sourced. Our ham, pork, meatballs and sausage are from locally outdoor reared pigs. Our vegetables are sourced from a local farm shop and our potatoes are locally grown in Glentham. We also use a range of Organic and Fair trade ingredients within our seasonal menus.

We only use fish from sustainable sources (Marine stewardship council). All our eggs are free range. We ensure the meals leaving our kitchen are of the highest standard.

We are based at Lincoln Enterprise Park and operate from a purpose built premise. We work closely with North Kesteven district council to ensure our meals and premises meet the higher approval standards required and are in accordance with the current environmental health regulations.

We currently have a 5 star rating, the highest grade possible.
